The BFRC energy rating scale

Energy efficient windows

The BFRC (British Fenestration Rating Council) uses an alphabetical rating system to rank products in order of how energy efficient they are. In the scale, products are placed on a range between A-G, from the highest performing, A standard, to the lowest performing, E standard.

All of the products in Premier’s range are A-rated on this scale, as standard. This means that all of our products have exceptional energy efficiency standards, making them well suited to homes looking to reduce their energy consumption.

A-rated windows for insulation

Premier offer a range of products and services to improve the energy efficiency of your home, such as our A-rated windows and doors, and our ultra-energy efficient triple glazing options.

When installing timber windows, we ensure that the installation reaches an A-rating for energy efficiency by using polystyrene board and insulating foam, or rock wall insulation. We also use insulated beadings around the frame and a thermal insert on the inside, all of which increases the sound proofing and heat saving capabilities.
